Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Karoo Road, Rowville - 063688-16VIC-RTR
The road surface has aged and failed in places and requires widening and kerb & channel to finalize formal construction.Asphalt resheet of the road surface and reconstruction of failed areas of pavement along with widening of pavement,inclusion of Kerb & Channel and rehabilitation of indented bus-bay, including minor drainage improvements. Length of Karoo Road being considered is approximately 630 metres in length with pavement width varying from 6.4 metres for approximately 255 metres and transitioning to 10.05 metres for approximately 330 metres.Total cost of proposed project is $850,000
Mountain Gate Drive, Ferntree Gully - 063689-16VIC-RTR
The road surface has aged and failed in places and the kerb & channel has failed or settled.Asphalt resheeting of the road pavement and reconstruction of failed sections of footpath paving and kerb and channel including rehabilitation of speed devices and installation of local roundabout at Mountain Gate Drive and Hancock Drive. Length of Mountain Gate Drive is approximately 955 metres in length and pavement width varies from 7.6 metres for approximately 240 metres to 8.2 metres for approximately 715 metres.Total cost of proposed project is $1,105,150

The road surface, pavement and kerb and channel are dilapidated condition. The road has deteriorated over the years and showing many signs of failures. The road is within special building overlay and liable to flooding in a 1%AEP event. There is no sufficient drainage to drain the road surface runoff.The work involves installing new kerb and channel, reinstating failed pavement sections, providing asphalt regulation course to correct high crowns and cross falls, asphalt surfacing and providing adequate drainage to the street.Total cost of proposed project is $674,300
Lyons Street, Carnegie - 063694-16VIC-RTR
The existing concrete road and kerb and channel have deteriorated over the years, large cracks appearing at many locations showing signs of failures The road is within special building overlay and liable to flooding in a 1%AEP event. There is no sufficient drainage to drain the surface stormwater.The work involves reconstructing the concrete road with reinforcement, installing new kerb and channel and providing adequate drainage.Total cost of proposed project is $705,000
