Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The current road seal is deteriorated and showing significant signs of surface failure, wearing, cracking and pot-holing. The Kerb has also deteriorated and is non-existant in parts and well past it's servicable life.Council proposed in remove and replace the existing kerb with new upright kerb and watertable in line with current standards. Council will also be profiling the existing road surface to reconstruct the seal layer due to the significant detoriation of the existing service.Total cost of proposed project is $247,031

This is road to the Coen dump site The dust and bog holes on this section of road has created nuisance and hazard.Double coat sealing including pavement work.
Road 8, Nauiyu - 095423-17NT-RTR
Extensive pavement failure along kerb and gutter due to lack of drainage behind kerb. Extensive seal edge fretting reducing seal width. Poor drainage control.Repair pavement failures with stabilised materials and seal. Establish positive drainage by re-profiling drains. Undertake shoulder strengthening and seal pavement back to original width.

Significant increase in movements of oversize vehicles on this road has created an ongoing maintenance problem, with the road requiring more frequent maintenance grading to maintain a suitable surface. Dust from increased traffic movements is also presenting problems to nearby residentsThe 2.087km proposed for sealing will be reconstructed by way of consolidating existing formation, gravel re-sheeting, waterbinding and finished with seal
Kwolyin West Road, Kwolyin, Western Australia - 095427-17WA-RTR
The issue is the road is a restricted access vehicle network 4 road and the surface is only 4m wide with a large overburden of soil and vegetation encroaching on the road surface.The works will be to widen the road to 8m to allow vehicles travelling in opposite directions to pass each other including suitable "V" drains on either side of road including off shoots to remove the water from the road for future proofing.Total cost of proposed project is $182,058
