Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

This section of road is suffering from bad pavement failures, cracking and drainage issues. A full reconstruction is to be be undertaken.Existing pavement is to be rehabilitated and stabilized to an 8m formation width. Then a 150mm base layer of selected road base material and a 7m seal. Drainage work is to be carried out in conjunction with the above work.

Cumming Street, Brunswick West - 097537-18VIC-RTR
The kerb and channel within Cumming Street has become misaligned along significant portions of the street causing flooding and ingress of water to the pavement. The road pavement deformed and cracks appeared on the surface.The works will involve the design and reconstruction of the pavement, kerb and channel and resurfacing to provide a waterproof pavement.Total cost of proposed project is $806,000
South Terrace, Lauderdale - 097550-18TAS-RTR
Failed Pavement, Poor drainage and road surfaceRehabilitate road pavement and install drainage and some bus stops improvementTotal cost of proposed project is $750,000
Middle Street, Murrumbateman - 094415-17NSW-RTR
This road has been identified as requiring Heavy Patching due to structural issues of crocodile cracking being present and causing road failure, this is then followed by re-sealing as part of Yass Valley Council's Annual Resealing Program. This is a Rural Road in our LGA that is in need of maintenance as it is becoming unsafe and unsuitable for drivers to utilise.Complete excavation and Heavy Patching, followed by Resealing the identified areas to improve the road surface for all road users, reduce the amount of maintenance Council is required to undertake and to assist in improving our rural roads for all residents.
Belgravia Road (rural road) - 097230-17NSW-RTR
Loose gravel and poor ride qualityWiden, strengthen and bitumen seal to a 6m width, and redefine drainage. Tree vegetation to improve sight distance. Intersection improvement at Belgravia Road/Strathmore Lane.Total cost of proposed project is $518,998
Welbungin South Road (Rural Road) - 097548-18WA-RTR
The road is a patchwork of 3.6 metre sealed sections and 7.0 metre sealed sections. the 3.6 metre sections are badly breaking up due to the age of the surface. Reconstruction of the 3.6 metre sections will give the sealed length of the road a 7.0 metre sealed width.Construct a new 9.0 metre wide carriageway pavement with a new 7.0 metre wide seal width to the old 3.6 metre sections. Import new gravel, spread, water bind and compact the materials to accept a two coat emulsion primerseal.
