Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Warrnambool Rail Line Upgrade
The Warrnambool Rail Line Upgrade completed the construction of a crossing loop, signalling and level crossing upgrades, and upgrades to Waurn Ponds Station.
Outback Way - 2016 Election Commitment - QLD - Donohue Highway Progressive Sealing Package 1
The project involved approximately 18.25km of sealing across multiple sections of the Donohue Highway from gravel to a two-lane seal and the construction of floodways.
Bendigo/Echuca Rail Line Upgrade
The Bendigo/Echuca Rail Line Upgrade will deliver signalling upgrades between Bendigo and Epsom/Eaglehawk and track works between Epsom and Echuca. Signalling upgrade works include 3-aspect rail signalling, interlocking changes, train control system changes, train protection warning system enforcement, level pedestrian crossing upgrades and additional trackside cabling. Track works include upgrading sleepers and rail track, drainage improvements, track formation remediation and improved ballast profile.
Ballarat Rail Line Upgrade Stage 1
The project delivered more trains and improved reliability for Melbourne's outer western suburbs, Melton, Bacchus Marsh, Ballan and Ballarat.
Ballarat Rail Line Upgrade Stage 2
The project delivered new stabling facilities at Ararat.

King Street, Chinchilla - 096203-17QLD-RTR
Existing gravel shoulders in urban setting unsightly and resulting in dust problems. Substandard drainage.Upgrade and seal existing gravel shoulders. Upgrade culverts from 225 x 1200 to 300 x 1200.Total cost of proposed project is $700,000
Burketown Normanton Road (Rural Road) - 096240-17QLD-RTR
Fatigue of existing seal.To reseal full width and full length between the nominated chainages of Burketown Normanton Road with sprayed bitumen seal.Total cost of proposed project is $287,000
Martin Road (rural road) - 052386-14WA-RTR
The road is currently sheeted with a clay and plain soil roadbase mix that is dangerous and slippery when wet. The section of the road is able to be graded with limited moisture but cannot be rolled.It is proposed to remove verge vegetation as required and then to widen and re-form table drains and shoulder, extend or repair culverts as required and sheet with new roadbase to a depth of 150mm, waterbind and roll.
Bell Street, Normanton, - 096235-17QLD-RTR
Current Unsealed surface reduces effective all weather access and amenity for residents. Unsealed surface also generates dust problems for local residents.Reconstruct pavement and perform bitumen sealing surfacing. Construction table drains and stormwater drainage.
