Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The Horsley Drive Upgrade
The Horsley Drive Upgrade project will deliver intersection upgrades at the Wallgrove/M7 interchange to enhance performance and safety.
Homebush Bay Drive
The proposed project will deliver priority upgrades that will ease congestion around and improve traffic flow along Homebush Bay Drive, including an options study of the Underwood Road and Australia Avenue intersection.
Barton Highway Corridor Upgrade
The Australian and NSW governments have together committed $242.9 million towards the upgrade of the Barton Highway, with $178.6 million provided by the Australian Government and $64.3 million by the NSW Government. This funding is being utilised across two projects along the corridor: Barton Highway Upgrade Package Stage 1 and Barton Highway Upgrade Package Stage 2. The scope of this project is informed by the Barton Highway Improvement Strategy and Barton Highway duplication business case. This project, Stage 2, will deliver upgrades and duplication along the Barton Highway from the end of Stage 1 works to as far north as funding will allow. The permanent tie-in section between the NSW and ACT border will also be included in this project.
Pooncarie Road to Menindee
The Project involves sealing 61km of the existing Pooncarie Road within the Central Darling Shire Council local government area (LGA) towards Menindee, NSW.
Bucketts Way
The upgrade of Bucketts Way will prioritise sections of the route that have been identified in the Bucketts Way Route Access Strategy Upgrade Program. Upgrades will include reconstruction, widening and resealing.

The existing unsealed road has poor shape and marginal pavement material which is very dusty in the dry and slippery following rain events, it is also subject to road closures after moderate rainsThe work consists of undertaking formation works of the existing pavement to achieve crossfall to shed water and apply a 2 coat bituminous seal.
