Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Cable Beach Road West - Broome WA - 121571-22WA-RTR
Cable Beach Road West consists of an undivided carriageway, with the width of approximately 10m from the edge of the seal. There is a t-junction at Murry Road and a roundabout at the Sanctuary Road intersection. The posted speed limit on Cable Beach Road West is currently 70km/h from Gubinge Road to Murray Road where it drops to 50km/h. Cable Beach Road West is classified as a Local Distributor and is the only access to the Cable Beach foreshore precinct and car parks. There is a limited number commercial access points on the road, including Divers Tavern, Cable Beach Resort and Zanders. The Cable Beach precinct is to be redeveloped which will increase the visitation to the tourist precinct. To be able to best accommodate this redevelopment an upgrade is required to maximise the recreational space of the precinct and improve functionality. There is also issues with the drainage network which concentrates from the at the Sanctuary RoundaboutAs part of the first stage of redevelopment in the 23-24 financial year, it is proposed to upgrade the roundabout at Sanctuary Road and the associated stormwater infrastructure.Total cost of proposed project is $1,356,000
Port Drive - Broome - WA - 121679-22WA-RTR
The Port Drive – Guy Street intersection is a high crash intersection and has confirmed funding through Main Roads Western Australia as a state level Black Spot.The upgrade of the T-Intersection to a roundabout is intended to manage and improve the free flow of traffic in all directions, and to reduce the occurrence of vehicle collisions with other vehicles and other road reserve users.Total cost of proposed project is $1,400,000
North Stirlings Road (rural road) - 121321-22WA-RTR
This section of road has a combination of heavy and light vehicles especially during harvest. Due to the poor surface materials, the heavy vehicles cause blow outs in the orad making it dangerous for all vehicles. The underlying clay structure also becomes slippery when wet.Clearing drains to improve runoff. Reshape running surface of road and gravel sheet. Gravel sheeting this road will improve safety by reducing skid resistance and lower maintenance costs.

Malala road - 121678-22NT-RTR
The Roadway has been severely Damaged by heavy vehicles and the drainage capacity is not sufficient which damages the drains and road. Additionally, the road width is not per Austroads standards.The works is divided into 2 stages and stage 1 was completed last year 2021-2022. Stage 2 consists of protecting underground services and Roadworks which include removing existing road seal and sub base and constructing new subgrade, subbase and road seal.Total cost of proposed project is $4,322,147
