Portland Road, (Rural Road) - 095810-17QLD-RTR
Portland Road is the primary access to the Lockhart River Community. The Pascoe River Crossing is a major causeway on Portland Road that has poor sight stopping distance, issues with draining the water away from the road surface and no warning signage into the crossing.Pascoe River Crossing Upgrades: - Widening the existing road on the Wenlock River side of Pascoe Crossing (Southern side) to improve the road alignment and provide a dual carriageway width. - Benching of the southern embankment (downstream embankment on the Wenlock River side of the crossing) to improve sight distance. - Provide table drains to improve road drainage to reduce water flow across the road carriageway. - Installation of a diversion drain at the top of the hill, approximately 280m from the Causeway (Southern side). - Provide advance warning signs for the floodway and bends approaching the crossing (both Northern and Southern sides) - Widen the existing road on the Northern side (Lockhart River side of the Pascoe Crossing) (Eastern side of the road) to improve the alignment coming onto the crossing and provide a dual carriageway width. - 2.0m wide x 0.2m deep x 330m long Rock Lined Table Drain from Ch 20.42 – 20.75: Southern side of the road. - 2.0m wide x 0.2m deep x 130m long Rock Lined Table Drain from Ch 20.89 – 21.02: Northern side of the road.
Merrit Road, Parklands - 052350-14WA-RTR
The existing surface is in poor condition with severe stripping and breaks forming in the surface. This is the final stage of a two stage project to reseal Merrit Road throughout.Supply and lay chipseal surface course and adjust drainage/utility covers to new levels as necessary.
Popanyinning East Road (Rural Road) - 095811-17WA-RTR
Road is failing due to low lying salt country and heavy vehicle usage. Popanyinning East Road requires reconstruction.2 layer cement and lime stabilisation on full width of road with 150mm overlay. Reconstruct table drains.
Popanyinning East Road (Rural Road) - 095812-17WA-RTR
No gravel on road and very poor drainage, needs to be 150mm gravel build up and form drains.Gravel sheeting and drainage works.
Portland Road - 095813-17QLD-RTR
Portland Road is the primary access to the Lockhart River Community. Council is upgrading the most exposed locations of Portland Road to be more resilient in seasonal rainfall periods. In particular Site 55 & 61 (Culvert creek crossings) require an alignment correction of the road to allow a safe approach to the crossing from both directions. The crossing realignments entail, construction of road realignments including; - Cut to spoil unsuitable material - Embankment Fill and road formation - Bitumen seal - Reduce speed warning, speed advisory and advance warning signage
Rannock Road (rural road) - 095814-17NSW-RTR
These sections have inferior subgrade and have suffered extensive deformation and cracking as a result of increased heavy vehicle movements and rainfall. The existing pavement displays extensive edge damage on sections that have not received heavy patching. The edge damage involves deep drop offs and breaking away of the seal into the travel path.Rehabilitate road by excavating unsuitable material, adding suitable crushed gravel, stabilise road subgrade, grade and roll to desired shape and compaction, followed by a bitumen seal. Clear culvert, mitres, tabledrains and reinstate missing guide posts
Putty Valley Road, Putty - 095817-17NSW-RTR
Ageing seal to be rejuvenated to extend life expectancy of assetHot bitumen and aggregate seal
Mellifont Street, West Hobart - 095818-17TAS-RTR
The existing road pavement and road surface throughout this section of the street has significant areas of failure resulting in a sub-standard road surface for road users. Couple this with the steepness of the road, approximately 25%, and this road becomes unsafe for motorists with numerous incidents of vehicles skidding / slipping that are particularly made worse during wet weather conditions. This section of Mellifont Street carries relatively high traffic volumes and is used as an alternative north/south route from the CBD.The proposed work consists of isolated pavement repairs and subsoil drain installation to reinstate the areas of pavement failure and to mitigate future pavement issues respectively. In addition, a new road surface will be constructed that will increase the skid resistance for vehicles. Furthermore, ancillary works will be completed to sections of existing kerb and channel, and pedestrian improvements in the form of pedestrian ramps will be constructed.Total cost of proposed project is $803,097
Timperley Road, South Bunbury - 095819-17WA-RTR
Broken kerbing, failing road seal, poor traffic behaviourReplacement of kerbing, resealing of the road, installation of Local Area Traffic Management to prevent hooning behaviourTotal cost of proposed project is $63,691
Tulong Road (Rural Road) - 095824-17NSW-RTR
The existing gravel road is high maintenance with little base course gravel remaining resulting in slippery conditions after rain events.Minor vertical alignment improvements, add base course gravel pavement and bitumen sealing.
