Existing pavement exhibits poor ride quality, edge failures and poor road shoulders, with a number of pavement failures at various locationsCouncil has been successful in being awarded Federal Blackspot funding to address a poor crash history, funding sealing of road shoulders and widening at intersections. R2R funds are to be used to complement the Blackspot funding to reconstruct and reseal the existing road pavement (which is not funded by the Blackspot funding)Total cost of proposed project is $891,916

Fulham Road (rural road) - 065689-16TAS-RTR
To provide a safer environment for road users by improving the horizontal geometry of the road (in some areas) and providing a sealed road width of 6.0m with 0.6m sealed shoulders. The road is currently unsealed.Widen the existing 5.0 metre gravel road to a 8.2 metre pavement with a 7.2 metre bitumen sprayed seal. Acquire land and realign one very poor corner to improve the horizontal alignment and safety of users. Widen drainage culverts to suit the new road width and improve roadside drainage. The upgraded road will generally follow the existing alignment. This is the last section of Fulham Road to be sealed and will provide an alternative, fully sealed route, through to Dunalley.Total cost of proposed project is $700,000
Heaslip Road (Rural Road) - 065706-16SA-RTR
The current road pavement has numerous surface and pavement failures as well as localised pounding of roadside swales and cross drains that are not functioning. The propsed work includes rehabiliting and upgrading a regionally significant freight route, pavement strengthening, road widening, shoulder sealing, line marking and guide postsTotal cost of proposed project is $900,000
