Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Road is narrow and dangerous to traffic at speed. Gravel becomes slippery in wet weather.Widen road and gravel with a better quality gravel to a 100mm thick compacted layer to provide a non slip surface.
Cowan Street (Metropolitan Road) (Town of Gawler) - 047383-12SA-RTR
The road is being upgraded as a by-pass to cater for heavy vehicle traffic which has been diverted from the main street of town, Murray Street.New and upgraded pavement to cater for increased vehicle usage and improved access to and from the shopping precinct. These works include both sides of the split carriageway on Cowan Street.Total cost of proposed project is $211,000
2.Main Street- West Wyalong (HWY 17) Segment 17845-17850 - 047386-12NSW-RTR
Lack of pedestrian facilities especially for mobility scooter users with limited line of sight to cross road safely. No streets lights in the main CBD area with current light levels reliant on ambient light from shops. Light levels below Australian Standards.Upgrade of pedestrian facilities including footpath and pedestrian blisters to provide safer crossing points for pedestrians and increasing line of sights. Installation of Street Lights to improve night time safety in the main CBD of West WyalongTotal cost of proposed project is $300,959
Leumah Street, Mount Gambier - 047391-12SA-RTR
Road has structurally failed due to continual heavy traffic serving the adjacent timber mill.This project will be a complete reconsrution of kerb and channel and road pavement (with a full depth basalt crushed rock pavement) and provision of hotmix asphalt surface. The new road will be at nearly identical levels to the existing road so there is no anticipated significant changes to deiveways. the total length of works is 253 metres and the completed seal width will be approximatley 9.1 metres.
Capel Drive Service Road 1, Capel - 047397-12WA-RTR
The road has lost shape. It has numerous pot hole repairs, extensive block cracking and edge breakaways.The road will be reconstructed to the current width of 6 metres and drainage improved.Total cost of proposed project is $92,500
Widdeson Road Service Road 1, Capel - 047398-12WA-RTR
The road has lost shape. It has numerous pot hole repairs, extensive block cracking and edge breakaways.The road will be reconstructed to the current width of 6 metres and drainage improved.Total cost of proposed project is $125,000
Capel Tutunup Road, Capel - 047399-12WA-RTR
The road has lost shape. It has numerous pot hole repairs, extensive block cracking and edge breakaways.The road will be reconstructed and widened to 6.0 metres.Total cost of proposed project is $250,000
Curtain Fig Tree Road, East Barron - 047403-12QLD-RTR
The existing 6m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of commercial vehicles now using this section of Curtain Fig Tree Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of detoriation from heavey use by commercial vehicles.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 6m wide bitumen road to 8m to allow safe passing of commercial vehicles and reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity.
