Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Newlands Road, Wamuran - 068031-16QLD-RTR
Existing road pavement is currently showing significant signs of major rutting age and fatigue. In addition, existing deficiencies include narrow unsealed shoulders, pavement failures in outer wheel path, minimal sight distance at the intersection of Pates RoadThe project scope includes the rehabilitation of the subject section of road over a length of 1000m with average width of 8.0m. The project scope also includes the upgrade of the Pates Road with protected right and left turn lanes and improvements to visibility. The project objective is to renew the pavement in order to achieve the required level of service and improve the level of road safety for all road usersTotal cost of proposed project is $1,100,000
Scarborough Road, Redcliffe - 068032-16QLD-RTR
Existing road pavement is currently showing significant signs of age minor rutting cracking and fatigueThe project scope includes the rehabilitation of the subject section of road over a length of 1202m with average width of 14.0m. The line marking will be altered to include bicycle lanes within the current formation width. The project objective is to renew the pavement to improve road safety and achieve the required level of service.Total cost of proposed project is $1,936,508
Gordon Road, Ferny Hills - 068033-16QLD-RTR
Existing road pavement is currently showing signs of age and deterioration cracking and fatigue.The project scope includes the rehabilitation of the subject section of road over a length of 629m with average width of 12.1m. The line marking will be altered to include bicycle lanes within the current formation width. The project objective is to renew the pavement to improve road safety and achieve the required level of service.Total cost of proposed project is $1,025,338
Forsayth-Georgetown Road (Rural Road) - 068034-16QLD-RTR
Unsealed road which has to accommodate heavy traffic consisting of Cattle trucks and tourists (caravans). The constant damage to the road affects formation and drainage which has resulted in regular traffic incidents and complaints due to the condition of the road. this road is maintained twice a year by Etheridge Shire Council for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Sealing of the road will reduce accident risk for the public and tourists using the road and will facilitate access for Forsayth & Einasleigh Townships and the stations between Georgetown and The Lynd.Design, forming and sealing of the existing road between chainage15.80 Kilometres to chainage20.95 Kilometres.Total cost of proposed project is $3,346,388
Cook Street - 068037-16SA-RTR
Existing road surface has been identified by Council's road surface manager for resealing because the road has deteriorated causing cracking, pot holes and an unsafe surface.Re-sealing of road applying a 10/5mm spray seal on top of the existing road.Total cost of proposed project is $57,264
Bennier Road (Rural Road) - 068038-16SA-RTR
Road pavement deteriorated beyond its useful life.Reconstruction of existing unsealed road to achieve a minimum of 150 millimetres of compacted road surface. Works include the rehabilitation of existing material and the importing of additional material.
Netherton Road (Rural Road) - 068039-16SA-RTR
Road pavement deteriorated beyond its useful life.Reconstruction of existing unsealed road to achieve a minimum of 150 millimetres of compacted road surface. Works include the rehabilitation of existing material and the importing of additional material.
Mineeda Road, (Rural Road) Blackall, - 068041-16QLD-RTR
Surface deterioration of existing pavement due to gravel loss and upgrade to allow all weather access to designated areas.Resheet and pave and seal.
Starkey Street, Wellington Point - 068042-16QLD-RTR
The existing surface of the road and pavement is showing signs of distress and is near the end of its useful life. The current condition of the road is not providing the minimum level of service in accordance with our Asset Management Plan.The road requires pavement rehabilitation, resurfacing and widening to ultimate alignment, Length: 1175m, Width: 10m.Total cost of proposed project is $1,034,583
Hodgins Road, Tuerong - 068044-16VIC-RTR
Hodgins Road is a rural collector road. The proposed sections of road are quite narrow and have gravel shoulders which contribute to edge breaks.The section of road will have the shoulders sealed, resulting in a wider pavement width.
