2026-27 Budget

Through the 2026–27 Budget, the Australian Government is continuing to invest in priority land transport projects that support productivity, resilience, liveability and sustainability through the Infrastructure Investment Program.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Glass Place, Morgantown - 131105-24WA-RTR
Concrete kerbing on edge of road is over 40 years old. It's damaged and missing in sections. The poor condition of the kerbing causes surface water to not be channelled into the correct drainage systems. Instead its running off the edge of the road, eroding the edges and reducing the useful life of the pavement and seal, in turn causing a hazard for road users.Removal of remaining concrete and replacement with MainRoads Western Australian standard semi-mountable concrete kerbing.Total cost of proposed project is $14,002
Mount Abundance Road (Rural Road) - 131078-24QLD-RTR
This section of road requires resealing as per Council's rural road asset management plan.It is proposed to reseal a 6.6 km section on the Mt Abundance Road.
Bargunyah Road (Rural Road) - 131081-24QLD-RTR
This section of road requires resealing as per Council's rural road asset management plan.It is proposed to reseal a 4.26 km section on the Bargunyah Road.
Bollon Road (Rural Road) - 131080-24QLD-RTR
This section of road requires resealing as per Council's rural road asset management plan.It is proposed to reseal a 5.17 km section on the Bollon Road.
Lansdowne Street, Goulburn - 131095-24NSW-RTR
Existing sealed urban road is badly deteriorated, showing signs of pavement distress, rutting and shoving due to heavy vehicle traffic and industrial surrounding. There is a drainage and subgrade issue which is exacerbating the pavement condition and creating safety concerns for motorists.Rehabilitation of kerb and gutter with sub soil drains. Rehabilitation of existing pavement surface using stabilisation and resurfacing with asphalt concrete course to provide pavement longevity. Line marking and RPMs will be installed as well. Council will be co funding the project with SLRIP funding of $1,909,687.Total cost of proposed project is $2,387,109
Lyons Road, North Bonville - 131114-24NSW-RTR
Safety of cyclists and pedestrians. The project is to improve active transport routes around the North Bonville community by improving cycle lanes and intersections along Lyons Rd and constructing a new footpath. These outcomes are aligned with the Australian Government Infrastructure Policy Statement, Themes 2 (Liveability – Safety) and 3 (Sustainability - Reduce transport and infrastructure emissions). The works include two main components along Lyons Road. Road works include safety upgrades to intersections and road widening along the route to accommodate refuges and improve the 1.5 m wide cycle lanes. Footpath works are to construct a 1.5 m wide path from De Castellar Drive to Toormina Road. Non-RTR funding from developer contributions (Section 7.11) $1,437,260.
Big Jack Mountain Road, Cathcart - 131098-24NSW-RTR
The road pavement has several pavement defects including rutting, shoving and deformation caused by heavy vehicle and lack of proper drainage.Stabilise existing pavement by using suitable stabilization methodology and form table drain on both sides of the road with proper inlet and outlet system. The proposed work will improve the strength and durability of the pavement, thus improving safety for motorists.Total cost of proposed project is $252,462
Barclay Street, Eden - 131102-24NSW-RTR
The road pavement has several pavement defects including rutting, shoving and deformation. Stabilise existing pavement by using suitable stabilisation methodology. The proposed work will improve the strength and durability of the pavement, thus improving safety and ride quality.
Middle Camp Road, Maningrida - 053590-14NT-RTR
Poor drainage. Water is ponding near the road.Construct a new concrete floodway.
Big Jack Mountain Road, Rocky Hall - 131099-24NSW-RTR
Road surface has deterioration through loss of gravel surface, resulting in larger corrugation, potholes and washup during rain events. The road will become slippery as gravel continues to wash away from clay base.Road surface improvements through gravel re-sheet.
