2026-27 Budget

Through the 2026–27 Budget, the Australian Government is continuing to invest in priority land transport projects that support productivity, resilience, liveability and sustainability through the Infrastructure Investment Program.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Eden St, Bega - 131100-24NSW-RTR
The road pavement has several pavement defects including rutting, shoving and deformation.Stabilise existing pavement by using suitable stabilization methodology. The proposed work will improve the strength and durability of the pavement, thus improving safety and ride quality.
Imlay Street, Eden - 131101-24NSW-RTR
The aged road pavement has several pavement defects including rutting, shoving and deformation and is at risk of significant failure. Stabilise existing pavement by using suitable stabilisation methodology. The proposed work will improve the strength and durability of the pavement, thus improving safety and ride quality.
Glynmar Road, Goulburn - 131116-24NSW-RTR
Existing 3 cell pipe culvert has been badly damaged and pipes are dislodged. The water is toppling the road and damaging the road infrastructure. This is only way in and out for resident living on Glynmar road. New culvert structure is required to address the flooding on road and repair the existing damaged road.Remove and dispose existing pipe culvert. Construct and place new 2 x cell box culvert structure of 3000W x 2400H along with temporary side track to facilitate traffic. Works include road reconstruction to culvert approaches, bitumen sealing, line marking and guard rails. Council will be funding the remaining project budget with Natural Disaster fund ($130,000) and SLRIP funding ($1,219,092).Total cost of proposed project is $1,523,865
Francis Road, Lawnton - 131115-24QLD-RTR
The objective of the project is to improve capacity of this intersection and safety for all users. The project will ensure that the intersection of Francis Road, Sparkes Road and Ellis Street functions appropriately for expected future traffic volumes. To improve peak hour congestion and road safety (crash) history. The project scope includes the reconfiguration of the existing roundabout controlled intersection to traffic signals, including signalised pedestrian crossing facilities, pathway renewal and widening, on-road bicycle lanes and additional traffic (turn) lanes to all approaches. Moreton Bay City Council will be funding the balance.
Greenthorpe Koorawatha Road (Rural Road) - 131103-24NSW-RTR
The area of this road is heavily impacted by trucks entering and leaving Greenethorpe GrainCorp silos and will be restored after sealing.Final sealing at front of Graincorp Greenethorpe, including line marking and sign installation. This is a jointly funded project with Fixing Local Roads.
Bolong Rd, Bomaderry - 131120-24NSW-RTR
The concrete culvert at Abernathy’s Creek near Manildra plant is a major twin box culvert that has undergone significant concrete degradation, and loss of concrete material and strength. It is proposed to repair the culvert structure without imposing any major damage, thereby significantly extending the lifetime of the entire structure. Fixing these defects quickly is important to keep road users safe and avoid accidents from structural failures. The project is jointly funded with a co-contribution of $531,000 from the council.
Brisbane Street, Dubbo - 131119-24NSW-RTR
Kerb and gutter drains poorly and the footpath is dangerous for pedestrians. Cars also scrape on vehicle entry which needs to be addressed. Reconstruct approximately 115 m of kerb and gutter, minor improvements to the existing stormwater system, renew the existing asphalt footpath, and reconstruct the road shoulder. Council will be funding the $242,136 balance.
Tathra Street, Raymond Terrace - 131197-24NSW-RTR
Seal is old and in need of reseal to protect the road pavement.Heavy patch pavement failures and apply a reseal to the road surface.
York Williams Road - 053594-14WA-RTR
The existing road has a very poor road base and little material on the road to gradeGravel sheet the 3.30 kilometre section including widening of various sections, drainage improvements and drainage maintenance
Holwell Circuit, Raymond Terrace - 131198-24NSW-RTR
Multiple surface failures and due for reseal before small failures become larger issues.Reseal the pavement from Dawson Road north for 250 m. Additional budget required is from Councils own funds.Total cost of proposed project is $69,965
