2026-27 Budget

Through the 2026–27 Budget, the Australian Government is continuing to invest in priority land transport projects that support productivity, resilience, liveability and sustainability through the Infrastructure Investment Program.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Road failure due to water getting into the road base that caused the asphalt to break down.Remove the damaged section of road, reconstruct the pavement and lay new asphalt.

The old red asphalt has significant cracking and is at risk of falling apart if not fixed prior to winterThe red asphalt on and leading into the roundabout will be overlayed with new black asphalt.
Yellow Rock Road, Tullimbar - 131124-24NSW-RTR
The road will function as the primary connection to a new subdivision currently under development and requires upgrades to accommodate anticipated increase in traffic and access requirements. The current road was also identified as a high-priority area for upgrades in the LGA Road Conditions Assessment and is in poor condition, showing multiple localised failures. The planned upgrade aims to enhance safety, improve overall resilience, and resolve stormwater management challenges.The project will widen over 600 metres of Yellow Rock road, installing new kerbing and guttering, re-grading the road, adding additional car parking spaces, upgrading intersections and access points, constructing a pedestrian refuge, creating a shared path, improving lighting, and enhancing stormwater infrastructure. Additionally, new signage and line marking will be installed. Project is funded through the following sources. Roads to Recovery - $3,150,000 Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program - $5,000,000 Shellharbour City Council - $2,755,370Total cost of proposed project is $10,905,370
Camel Farm Road (Rural Road) - 131139-24SA-RTR
Camel Farm Road is a Class 3 Road that provides access to multiple farming properties and an important transport link from Bagot Well to St Kitts. The current condition of the road surface prevents all weather access with clay breakthrough areas observed throughout the road. During rain events, the road becomes unpassable for heavy vehicles.Road will be re-sheeted and constructed using a suitable quarry material that will provide a higher level of rideability and decreases maintenance intervals. Balance of project costs being covered by council.Total cost of proposed project is $141,798
Morna Point Road, Anna Bay - 131210-24NSW-RTR
The seal along this section of Morna Point Road has reached the end of its life and is degrading, allowing water to enter the pavement and potholes form.Patch and reseal this section of Morna Point Road. Additional budget required is from Councils own funds.Total cost of proposed project is $73,034

Construct a rubber roundabout with supporting kerb extensions, signage and lighting.
Greenwattle Street Between 500 metres from McKillop Court / Greenwattle Street and 600 metres from Greenwattle Street / CRANLEY - 130841-25QLD-BS
Install W-Beam guardrail on roadside (outside of curve), stormwater installation to improve friction, install new signage, provide adequate lighting, install VAS warn
Vise Road Between Vise Road / Old Maroochydore Road and Vise Road / Mons School Road FOREST GLEN - 130840-25QLD-BS
Installation of three in-fill streetlights at the corner Vise Road, install additional delineation devices.
Fishermans Road, Coolup - 053610-14WA-RTR
The current road seal is 3.7m with significant pavement and edge failures, an ongoing reconstruction is being undertaken to increase the road standard and upgrade access from the Coolup area toward the west and ultimately link the new Forrest Highway.To reconstruct and widen Fishermans Road with associated drainage (length - 1.4km) to a minimum road width of 6.5m with 1.2m shoulders.
