Major Projects Business Case Fund

The Major Projects Business Case Fund (MPBCF) initiative supports the development of robust major project business cases for nationally significant projects and enables the Commonwealth to engage early with states and territories in planning processes to ensure broader Commonwealth objectives are considered as projects are developed.

In the 2023-24 Budget, the Australian Government committed an additional $200 million over 2 years into the MPBCF.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Need to reinstate the shoulders that scoured and damaged.Need to Stop the dangerous practice of vehicles cutting corners that threatens the lives of children and pedestrians. This will also control the damages to the corners of the road intersections.Reinstatement of shoulders,Concrete kerbing at intersections, Widening the road pavement up to kerb edge at intersections, install sign boards.
Packham Drive - 059029-15NSW-RTR
Pavement failures, poor ride quality and width is currently 6m. Bad drainage and dangerous overhanging trees and limbs.Road widening and stablising to a 9 metre formation with a 8m seal for 1.6km. Redefining drainage and tree removal to improve sight distance.
Coldstream Road (Rural Road) - 059030-15NSW-RTR
The road pavement has failed and requires rehabilitation to return it to a serviceable condition.The road pavement will be rehabilitated to its current width by stabilisation and the surface resealed to a width of 5.2 metres.
Jerilderie Road(Rural Road) - 059031-15NSW-RTR
Aged bitumen has deteriorated forming cracks and potholes creating a safety risk for users.Bitumen reseal length of road. 4070 metres in length by 5.6 metres in length
Packham Drive - 059032-15NSW-RTR

Improve drainage and site distance.Narrow pavement failure of width 5.5m wide.Culvert extension and installation of safety fencing (guard rail) at the culvert. Road widening, overlaying existing pavement to a 9m formation with an 8m seal. (This includes the pavement gravel purchase of $41,8017.07 in 2014/2015).
