Project description

Conflict between motor vehicles and cyclists and pedestrians, no marked cycleways and large flows of water across the road surface during heavy rain causing motor vehicles to lose control.

Construction of drainage and kerb and gutter, formation of a footway, resurfacing, and line marking incorporating an on road cycleway. Length 1080m. Project is being staged over multiple years with the total project cost estimated at $3,325,901. Additional works will be undertaken within the same project including bank stabilisation, kerb and gutter, utility works, pavement construction and resurfacing.

The existing road is deficient in strength and is breaking up in sections.Replace existing drainage and culverts. Milling and stabilisation to a depth of 200mm, 120mm thick layer of compacted finely crushed rock and finished with a two coat seal.
