Project description

The existing surface is in poor condition, showing in different places: crocodile cracking, stripping, edge breaks, potholes, and uneven surfaces. This shows that the pavement is failing to service the volume of traffic. The roundabout island has a trafficable section of kerb and concrete that has failed, with significant cracking and movement.

The asphalt pavement will be milled and replaced with a thicker layer of asphalt to provide greater strength. The trafficable part of the island will be replaced with reinforced concrete and new kerb. A date palm tree in the middle of the island will be retained.
