Project description

The Pavement & Seal have deteriorated and reached its end of useful life and requires a full reconstruction. The cause of this has been due to increasing traffic loading relating to large industry zones in the area.

The projects seeks to upgrade the road pavement, including full kerb & gutter replacement for the current use and in anticipation of increasing traffic that would result from a number of major changes to the area, including regeneration of the large industry zones in Mile End South in particular to accomodate B-Double traffic. The project would also be providing improved facilities for pedestrians by upgrading footpaths and lighting.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,400,000
