Project description

There is no existing kerb and gutter at the proposed work locations. Water runs from/to the adjoining properties and creates flooding on Tongarra Road during heavy rain. Members of the community have expressed concerns regarding the absence of kerb and guttering.

Construction of 313 meters of kerb & gutter and associated drainage work is proposed along Tongarra Road, Albion Park. The southern side includes a shared used path of various widths due to large existing trees, some property aquisition will be required on the northern side.

Total cost of proposed project is $235,481

Little James Street is no longer adequate for the volume of traffic, as the road is currently narrow the road suffers from edge break. There is no control over stormwater at the moment, the stormwater is scouring the edge of the road and driveways.Little James Street will be fully reconstructed and widened to 7.5m from the existing 6m and kerbed on both sides to control stormwater run off. And 10.5m wide sealed footpath will be constructed.

Ellery Road, Kingston SE - 059961-15SA-RTR
