Project description

The existing gravel road is too narrow for two vehicles to pass without utilising the road verg or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for road users. AS the road is located in a high rainfall area, the gravel road surface is often very slippery and unsafe for use by conventional two wheel drive vehicles.

The work proposed is to widen and reconstruct the existing gravel road to two lane bitumen standard for a length of 1.1km. Works include widening ot the existing formation, new gravel pavement, bitumen seal and drainage works.
