Project description

This road is fully sealed however is built between flat crop lands and is subject to regular flooding and experience drainage problems. The road has become a main access to Dysart township and the surrounding mine, crop and grazing areas has slumps and dips and generally an uneven surface which is subject to breakouts in the pavement through the bitumen to the unsealed surface below. This has become extremely hazardous for traffic and is a potential safety risk.

Dig out subbase pavement and backfill with type 2.2 gravel, stabilise formation with 3% cement, finish with a 2 coat bitumen seal to road sections that are deemed the priority on this road.

Total cost of proposed project is $850,000
