Project description

The entire 3.50 kilometre length has an old 3.8 metre wide seal that is starting to crack and pothole requiring an increased amount of maintenance. Some parts of the road have been widened to 7.2 metres and these parts have not yet received their second seal and have been damaged by Heavy Access Vehicles that use this road.

The entire section is to be resealed with the smaller 3.8 metre wide sections remaining at 3.8 metres wide and the larger 7.2 metre wide sections remaining at 7.2 metres.

The existing road is deficient in strength and is breaking up in sections.Replace existing drainage and culverts. Milling and stabilisation to a depth of 200mm, 120mm thick layer of compacted finely crushed rock and finished with a two coat seal.
