Project description

The project will deliver saftey improvements to the the Milton Road exit on Hale Street in Milton, Brisbane. The upgrade will include the provision of new signal pedestals and a new median strip.

Benefits

The upgraded intersection will improve safety and traffic flow.

Funding

The Australian Government contributed $500,000 to upgrade the intersection.

Timetable

Construction commenced on the intersection in May 2015 and was completed in June 2015.

Asphalt surface is failing and is creating unsafe road conditions.Work will include milling and crack sealing of existing pavement, 30mm asphalt overlay, reinstatement of line marking.

Sluice Creek Road - 059498-15QLD-RTR

The existing 5.5m wide gravel road is too narrow for the number of vehicles now using the section of Sluice Creek Road. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of deterioration from heavy use by commercial vehicles.The proposed works include the widening of the existing 5.5m wide gravel road to 8m wide bitumen seal road, to allow the safe passing of commercial vehicles and the reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity.
