Project description

Road seal is only 3.5 metres in width at these sections and is unsafe for passing of trucks and vehicles, road is a 27.5 metre road train route

Reconstruct each section to a bitumen sealed width of 7 metres, apply one coat of bitumen using 14mm aggregate, and construct gravel shoulders on each side of bitumen to 1.2 metres wide aggregate. A second coat seal to be applied in 2017/2018

Total cost of proposed project is $420,987

Little James Street, Kingston SE - 059960-15SA-RTR

Little James Street is no longer adequate for the volume of traffic, as the road is currently narrow the road suffers from edge break. There is no control over stormwater at the moment, the stormwater is scouring the edge of the road and driveways.Little James Street will be fully reconstructed and widened to 7.5m from the existing 6m and kerbed on both sides to control stormwater run off. And 10.5m wide sealed footpath will be constructed.

Ellery Road, Kingston SE - 059961-15SA-RTR

Road profile is poor,and subject to pot holing. Road is also narrow. This road is a commodity route and needs to be widened.Resheet with 250mm crushed rubble, widen to road to 6.5m and provide new profile to enable stormwater run off.Total cost of proposed project is $40,000
