Project description

Narrow formation width of 7m. Narrow bitumen seal of 3.5m. Significant pavement failure, deformation and high roughness. Several complaints from school bus drivers regarding dangerous state of the road.

Widen formation to 8m. Rip, reshape existing road and import pavement 0.2m thick. Provide bitumen seal 6m wide. We only propose to do a single coat (primer) seal in this instance and to do the second seal coat approx 12 months later as a separate project.

Kurnell Road, Cronulla - 060466-15NSW-RTR

Significant pavement failure. Surface cracking, potholes due to pavement base and sub-base failure. Pavement require renewals of pavement base and wearing surface.Full width (9.7m) road rehabiltation over 4265 sq.m pavement area. road pavement work include mill and fill of 90mm of deeplift asphalt and 30mm of surface course.

Bennett Avenue, Heathmont - 060467-15VIC-RTR

The existing road surface, pavement and kerb & channel has significant signs of deterioration and requires major renewal.Complete resurfacing of road surface, and associated patching, and reconstruction of the kerb & channelTotal cost of proposed project is $200,000

Burraneer Bay Road, Cronulla - 060469-15NSW-RTR

Road pavement base course has degraded, causing the wearing surface to crack severely. Existing wearing surface severely oxidised, potholes in patches.Heavy patching of 125 sq.m pavement area with 120mm asphalt concrete and then re-surfacing entire section (3250 sq.m ) with 40mm thick asphalt concrete overlay.

Mount Denison Road (Rural- Alice Springs) - 060488-15NT-RTR

Mount Denison Road is used by aboriginal communities, pastoral proprietors, mining exploration and expanding 4WD tourism. A significant volume of traffic is triple road trains for cattle haulage, and mining exploration. The road section traverses winding hilly country with poor line of sight, numerous creek crossings, exposed reef rock and worn formation. Drainage is poor with the pavement having loss of formation, scours and washouts and loose surface. In wet weather ponding water closes the road for extended periods. The road has been the subject of numerous near misses, accidents and complaints due to poor access.Reform and gravel resheeting various sections between chainage 30 and 55 kilometres.

Delmore Downs Road (Rural - Alice Springs) - 060489-15NT-RTR

The road section traverses flat sand clay country with poor line of sight and poor drainage, numerous creek crossings, exposed reef rock and worn formation. Drainage is poor with the pavement having loss of formation, scours and washouts, loose surface, and bull dust sections developing. In wet weather ponding water closes the road for extended periods. The road has been the subject of numerous near misses, accidents and complaints due to poor access. The road has high usage from aboriginal communities, pastoralists, mining exploration and expanding 4WD tourism. A significant volume of traffic are road trains for cattle haulage and mining exploration.Reform, gravel resheet and drainage repairs.

Napperby Property Access Road (Rural - Alice Springs) - 060492-15NT-RTR

The road section traverses flat sand-clay country with formation worn below natural surface level. In wet weather ponding water closes the road for extended periods. The road has high usage from aboriginal communities, pastoralists, mining exploration and expanding 4WD tourism. A significant volume of traffic is road trains for cattle haulage and mining exploration.Reform, lift sand clay and drainage repairs. Replace 4 metre grid with an 8 metres grid at chainage 40.10 kilometres.

Barkly Stock Route (Rural - Tennant Creek) - 060493-15NT-RTR

The Barkly Stock Route is extensively used by heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties on the Barkly Tablelands. Many areas in the wet season are difficult to cross during wet. Construction of a floodway will improve accessibility.Construct reinforced concrete floodway to improve drainage.
