Project description

The floodways to be upgraded scour heavily after moderate flows, causing road closures and posing road hazards to the travelling public and the local community. There are also significant maintenance costs associated with the reinstatement of these floodways.

The work will consist of excavating existing material and replacing with crushed rock, this will then be stabilised with cement and concrete toewalls will be constructed to prevent under-mining. The floodways vary in length from 100 to 200 metres and will be 10 metres in width.
