Project description

This project involved the upgrade of the existing roundabout at the intersection of the Midland Highway and Doyles Road in Shepparton East to a two-lane roundabout and the duplication of the approach roadways.

Benefits

The project has increased capacity of the intersection and has also improved access and safety at this location.

Funding

The Australian Government has contributed $7.635 million to this $10.18 million project and the Victorian Government has contributed the balance of $2.545 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced 28 September 2015 and an official opening of the roundabout was held on 24 August 2016.
