This is one of the 20 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program.
The project involved widening and strengthening works, including the construction of three overtaking lanes, on the Warrego Highway between Brigalow and Chinchilla.

The Australian Government committed to provide 80 per cent up to $31.68 million towards the estimated $39.6 million cost of the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.
As the project was delivered under budget for $33.5 million, the final Australian Government contribution is $26.8 million.
Construction commenced in October 2015 and was completed in May 2017.
