Project description

Road pavement reached the end of its service life and deteriorated due to road surface and base layer failure. Narrow travelling lanes, narrow shoulders and no provision for cyclists. This is the final stage (stage 3) of Captain Cook Drive Upgrade Project. Stage 1 and 2 works were completed in December' 2012 and October'2014 respectively.

As part of Stage 3 works ,It is proposed to complete the remaining final pavement layer of two east bound lanes (pavement area 8240sqm) to final design level. Full width road construction works include 300mm thick recycle concrete road base with 40mm thick asphalt concrete wearing surface and associated line marking.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,300,000
