Project description

Will eliminate a traffic hazard of a section of narrow seal 2.68 straight line kilometre in length out to a full 6.5 metre width of primer seal, including the elemination of dust at the mentioned current narrow seal. The required works will improve the road for use by heavy haulage vehicles, school buses, tourists, local and regional traffic between the towns of Goomalling, Jennacubbine, Northam and Toodyay and beyond.

Reconstruct and widen 3.6 metre width seal to 6.5 m width primer seal commencing at 2.68 straight line kilometre to 5.28 straight line kilometre with widening culvet to 13.2 metre at 5.18 straight line kilometre. Reseal 6.5 metre width seals at following sections 0.00 to 2.68 straight line kilometre and 5.28 to 6.28 straight line kilometre with hot bitumen and 14 mm stone aggregate. Works include reconstructions of drains and batter slopes.
