Project description

Currently this section of Combaning Road does not meet agreed levels of service in the Council's Road Hierarchy. At the completion of the project this section will be upgraded to meet the agreed levels of service for a Category 2 road; that is a sealed travelling width of 6 metres wide (2 x 3 metre lanes). In addition the existing pavement is not of a standard to allow for Higher Mass Limit vehicle use. In addition to widening this road the pavement will be strengthen to permit Higher Mass Limited vehicle use.

To widen 1.7km of Combaning Road to include two 3 metre sealed lane and one metre gravel shoulders incorporating a 150mm granular overlay.

Total cost of proposed project is $238,000

Grahams Valley Road (rural road) - 059654-15NSW-RTR

The existing sealed pavement is in poor condition, with a very rough and rutted road surface, and needing excessive road maintenance to meet service levels.Improving surface drainage, ripping the existing sealed surface, supplying, spreading and compacting a gravel base course on top of the existing pavement, and applying a two-coat bitumen seal.

Wellingrove Road (rural road) - 059655-15NSW-RTR

The existing sealed pavement is in poor condition, with a very rough road surface, and requiring excessive road patching to meet service levels.Ripping the existing surface; adding a thin gravel overlay; stabilisation of up to a 200mm pavement depth using either mechanical or chemical means; and bitumen sealing to 4.8 metres in width.

Goornong-Mayreef Road, Goornong - 059656-15VIC-RTR

Road pavement has failed due to age and increasing heavy vehicle traffic.Reconstruction of failed sections of road and resurfacing.Total cost of proposed project is $307,000

Glencoe Street - 059657-15NSW-RTR

The existing unsealed street is subject to variable surface conditions, with recurring drainage problems and dust problems for nearby residents.Supply, spread and compact gravel pavement, trim levels to produce a good road cross section, and bitumen sealing suitable for two-way traffic.

Cooltong Avenue - North - 059658-15SA-RTR

Cooltong Avenue – North has been rated against Councils Road Asset Management plan and it has reached its design life. Resealing this road now will extend the life of the asset as well as providing a safe smooth road surface, free of defects.The proposed work will include road shoulder alignment and re-sealing.

Three Hills Lane, Axe Creek - 059659-15VIC-RTR

Pavement has deteriorated and needs to be reconstructed.Existing road is to be stabilised and reconstructed.Total cost of proposed project is $180,439

Chapel Street, Kangaroo Flat - 059660-15VIC-RTR

Existing timber bridge is in poor condition and does not meet current standards.Replacement of bridge with concrete crown units.Total cost of proposed project is $259,000

Hicks Road, Armagh (Rural Road) - 059661-15SA-RTR

Wattle Hill Road, Stonor. - 059662-15TAS-RTR

The existing bridge has been assessed as being in a poor condition and recommended for replacement.To construct a new pre-cast three span concrete bridge 29 metres long and 4.86metres wide, fitted to existing concrete abutments. New guard rail to be fitted upon installation.

Torr Street, Mintaro - 059663-15SA-RTR
