Project description

The road is currently too narrow to accommodate for the predicated increase in traffic volumes. The road is also in need of cycle lanes and shared paths on either sid of the road which will address some safety concerns for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

Stage 2 works to comprise the upgrade of Helensvale Road from Monterey Keys Drive to Hope Island Road. Upgrade required to cater for the predicted increase in traffic volumes caused by the urbanisation of the Helensvale/Hope Island area and to provide bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

Total cost of proposed project is $4,000,000
