Project description

Installation of sheltered turning lanes to prevent cars going onto the road shoulder. Improvement of road safety by addressing condition of road surface and improving traffic management. McClelland Drive provides access to the quarry and has a high truck loading which is contributing to the surface failures.

Installation of sheltered turning lanes, shoulder sealing, widening of carriageway, installation of kerb & channel and other sundry works all as appropriate along McClelland Drive between Cranbourne-Frankston Rd and Skye Rd. Road widening requires the relocation of three power line poles, along with retaining wall construction and 50m footpath realignment

Total cost of proposed project is $1,269,733
