Project description

Council staff have identified safety issues and high maintenance costs due to the increase in vehicle movements especially in the summer months on Trail Harbour Road. The length of the road is ten (10) kilometres. Several sections, corners, crests and hair-pin corners have been identified for reconstruction, rehabilitation, realignment, stormwater drainage and widening.

Road widening, corner alignment, table drains and culvert construction, re-sheeting, grading sections of road, two coat bitumen seal sections and road signage.

The existing road is deficient in strength and is breaking up in sections.Replace existing drainage and culverts. Milling and stabilisation to a depth of 200mm, 120mm thick layer of compacted finely crushed rock and finished with a two coat seal.
