Project description

This section of the Wantabadgery Road was constructed in excess of 60 years ago. It is a narrow 5m wide seal with a vertical and horizontal alignment of a poor standard which does not meet any of the design criteria for a road required by the modern travelling public. The fifth culvert on the road is an inadequate drainage structure that requires replacement.

It is proposed to reconstruct 2km of the Wantabadgery Road to a 7m wide seal with 0.5m gravel shoulders. The vertical and horizontal alignment will be designed to a 100 kph standard. The work will include new drainage structure consisting of a 3 cell 3m x 1.8m high box culvert.

Total cost of proposed project is $780,000
