Project description

The road section traverses flat sand-clay country with formation worn below natural surface level. In wet weather ponding water closes the road for extended periods. The road has high usage from aboriginal communities, pastoralists, mining exploration and expanding 4WD tourism. A significant volume of traffic is road trains for cattle haulage and mining exploration.

Reform, lift sand clay and drainage repairs. Replace 4 metre grid with an 8 metres grid at chainage 40.10 kilometres.
