Project description

This road is a major collector road and a bus route. The road has extensive areas of crocodile cracking and rutting indicating that the pavement has excessive movement. The extensive cracking also allows for additional moisture to enter the base material and accelerate the failure. Numerous pot hole repairs have been undertaken in the travel lanes. Some areas have the asphalt wearing course breaking away from the pavement due to the excessive deflections being experienced by the pavement. The pavement is also heavily oxidised.

Mill out the existing pavement to a depth of 150mm and replacement with asphalt. Work also includes the reconstruction of some damaged kerb and gutter.
