Project description

This is an industrial road. The road has extensive areas of crocodile cracking indicating that the pavement has excessive movement. The extensive cracking also allows for additional moisture to enter the base material and accelerate the failure. Some areas are displaying lamination of the wearing course and patching in areas where the asphalt wearing course is breaking away from the pavement, due to the excessive deflections being experienced by the pavement.

Mill out the existing pavement to a depth of 150mm and replacement with asphalt. Work also includes the reconstruction of some damaged kerb and gutter.
