Project description

Rehabilitation of the existing pavement as it has reached intervention level, it is described as being in very poor condition with serviceability now being affected and increased maintenance costs. The section of Ramsay Street is a narrow sealed urban street of 8m with unsealed shoulders. Recent traffic counts have highlighted increased traffic movements, Council has also received complaints from the community about the lack of on street parking in the vicinity of the Rochester Swimming Pool. This road also provides access to the weighbridge owned and operated by Murray Goulburn(dairy).

Work will be carried out to resurface the pavement with a new layer of bitumen and wearing aggregate (stone) for 350m x 4m, widen pavement for 165m on west side of street from lip of kerb and channel.
