Project description

Council staff have identified safety issues and high maintenance costs due to regular traffic movements and the increase in visitor/tourists in a variety of different vehicles (RV's, Caravans, Buses). the length of the road is 9.1 kilometres. Several sections including corners, crests and hair-pin corners have been identified for reconstruction, rehabilitation, realignment, storm-water drainage and widening.

Road widening, corner realignment, table drains and culvert construction, re-sheeting, grading sections of road two coat bitumen seal and road signage and guide posts.
