Project description

The existing gravel road is constructed across a black soil plain and carries relatively high traffic volumes and heavy vehicles. The condition of the road deteriorates rapidly under traffic while the remote location of the road means it is often in poor condition for long periods of time.

Construct a 400mm thick chemically stabilised gravel pavement on an 8m wide road formation and apply a 2 coat hot bitumen seal.

Total cost of proposed project is $364,240
