Project description

This section of road has an existing seal straight road for the volume of traffic that it caters and is a school bus route. The rural catchment feeding into a urban enironment, need to provide additional stormwater infrastructure to manage the road flow.

Widen and gavel pavement and seal, reconstruction of 3 property entrances to accommodate new road levels. Installation of 120 metres of culverts at various diameters, inlet structures and headwalls.

Richmond - Croydon Road (Rural Road) - 059568-15QLD-RTR

The two works sites are existing floodways on the bitumen sealed section of the road. The two floodways are located in a very dangerous dip in the road causing vehicles and heavy transport to dangerously brake on a straight alignment.Council proposes to raise both floodways, add new pavement and bitumen seal to make the road safe. The floodway at chainage 85.27 kilometre to 85.911 kilometre shall have new larger pipes installed.
