Project description

Areas of failed road pavement require renewal/refurbishment to provide a safe & trafficable surface Sections of kerb & gutter require replacement to ensure effective & efficient operation of road drainage system Improved pedestrian safety is required through provision of safe crossing points Sub-standard road width in some locations requires widening to provide safer passage for all types of vehicles, including cyclists

Selected sections of road pavement to be renewed including surface replacement Replacement of failed kerb & gutter together with associated footpath reinstatement/refurbishment in selected locations Undertake embankment excavation and associated embankment stabilisation works to effect road widening at identified locations. Construct central median pedestrian refuges to improve safety for pedestrians when crossing road New line-marking for traffic lanes, pedestrian crossing points and de-lineation of bike lanes.
