Project description

Thorsborne Street, Beenleigh is a local government road which is deteriorating in condition and is entering the later portions of its surfacing life cycle. Based on modelling from Council’s Pavement Management System it is appropriate to resurface Thorsborne Street to maximise retention of road value in the underlying pavement.

Pavement Rehabilitation is required for the entire length (250 metres) of Thorseborne Street. Works involve the milling and replacement of isolated failures and asphalt resurfacing.

As White Road runs parallel to the South Eastern Freeway (within 30m at is shortest point) there is often dust issues on the freeway. In addition due the freight volume maintenance of White Road is a high cost item for Rural City of Murray BridgeRehabilitate and improve the unsealed granular pavement by installing additional material and applying 14/7mm spray seal. Pavement works will be undertaken by Council works staff with sealing works contracted to Council sealing contractor.
