Project description

This road is currently unsealed, it is subject to scouring after moderate rain events. The road is very steep in many sections and is very hard to negotiate in front wheel drive cars.

Loosen the surface material using a rotomill and introduce 50-75mm of road base into the existing material. Blend this material with the existing road material water and roll, prepare surface for a spray seal and apply 2 coat spray seal. Total length of work 0.92 kilometres

The timber girders which support the 15m long timber running surface are in poor condition due to their age, water damage and some infestation from white ants.Proposed works include the removal of the existing timber girders and timber deck and replace with reinforced box culverts and undertake some minor roadway approach works.Total cost of proposed project is $304,884
