Project description

The path is approximately 36 years old and is in poor condition due to age and tree root damage. Several defects and safety issues such as poor line of sight, excessive crossfall, steep grades, lack of compliant barrier fencing and narrow width will be corrected when the path is reconstructed.

Construction will commence in November 2016. The path will be constructed to a width of 4m (subject to site constraints) and will extend from Langman Grove, Felixstow to Battams Road, Royston Park, an approximate distance of 3.85km

Total cost of proposed project is $1,300,000

Richmond - Croydon Road (Rural Road) - 059568-15QLD-RTR

The two works sites are existing floodways on the bitumen sealed section of the road. The two floodways are located in a very dangerous dip in the road causing vehicles and heavy transport to dangerously brake on a straight alignment.Council proposes to raise both floodways, add new pavement and bitumen seal to make the road safe. The floodway at chainage 85.27 kilometre to 85.911 kilometre shall have new larger pipes installed.
