Project description

The existing 5m wide gravel road is too narrow for the number of commercial vehicles now using this section of Powley Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of detoriation from heavy use by commercial vehicles.

The proposed works include the reconstruction and widening of the existing 5m wide gravel road to 6.5m bitumen road to allow the safe passing of commercial vehicles and the reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity.

Total cost of proposed project is $250,000
