Project description

This road is situated between a regional road and state highway. It is too narrow for the increasing volume of traffic. There is little or no formal drainage and no foot way. Parking on the northern side is difficult due to the open drain. Residents have expressed concern about excessive speed of motorists traveling between the two main roads.

To widen Old Gosford Road to 8.0 metres over a distance of 245 metres. Provide kerb and gutter and footpath both sides. Pipe the open drain on the northern side. Re-grade the pavement. Construct retaining walls. Substantial utilities and driveway adjustments. Provide raised platform at intersection with Ghersi Avenue for traffic calming purposes.

Total cost of proposed project is $727,600
