Project description

Subsurface instability and aged seal has caused isolated pavement failure over a 4.5km section. Such failures include surface cracking, potholing, edge cracking, depressions and raveling.

The seal for this 300m section will be entirely removed. The subsurface will be ripped and blended with high quality road base. The road base will then be sufficiently compacted prior to the application of a two-coat 20/10 seal. Table drains will be reformed and stormwater culverts and pipes will be cleared to rectify drainage issues.
