Project description

Road is only one lane with no passing opportunities in this area. New work will provide 2 lanes to enable overtaking and also act as an emergency landing strip for an isolated section of road.

Rehabilitation of existing pavement & base and top seal of existing road. Also widening road to form a passing lane and an emergency landing strip for Flying Doctor in case of accidents on an isolated section of road. Project is funded 50/50 with Building Our Regions funding.

Culgoora Road (Rural Road) - 059874-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Gravel re-sheeting is completed to improve the road surface.

Berrigal Road (Rural Road) - 059875-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing seal with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Bitumen re-sealing is completed to protect the road base and improve road surface.

Millie Road (Rural Road) - 059876-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Gravel surfacing actions including stabilisation as needed to improve the road surface.

Culloden Road pavement has extensinve failure to approximately 60% of the area. Pavement length 740m and average width 9.20Rehabilitation of the road pavement by heavy patching, profiling and resurfacing the wearing surfacing.
