Project description

With narrow traffic lane widths, on street parking and limited opportunity to widen the carriage, Wray Avenue is a major route for traffic and public transport into and out of Fremantle. Traffic surveys showed speeds to be above the posted limit of 50km/h and not supportive of a sustainable community hub.

Installation of 3 speed plateaus. This will complement traffic calming to the west on Wray Avenue to create a series of traffic calming devices between the Hampton Road and South Terrace intersections.
